Description

Self-tapping screws are typically used to secure wood, plastic, metal and brick together. A self-tapping screw cuts its own thread when it is screwed into a plain hole in a metal sheet. Self-tapping screws are hardened so that their threads cut mating threads in one or both of the steel parts being connected. The usage of these screws requires a pre-drilled hole.
